Here we go
I'm stealing internet from a Berklee computer. Well, paying 28,000 for it I guess. Some younger kids are here talking about the minor modes and its pretty funny. I have nothing else to say I guess. I'm probably going to abandon this idea shortly.

Introduction
Hello. I am Jake Jackson. I live in Boston, MA. I play music for a living, and right now its more like survival than really living. I enjoy myself though. I never really thought about blogging before, but then I realized that I keep most of my opinions generally to myself or within my close friends, so I thought it would be interesting to see if I'm hated or liked among random people.
So here are my general opinions, which I figure I will be blogging most about.
Music:
I truly think that I can count the number of albums on one hand that came out this year that weren't total slaps in the face. Let me think...
1. Black Eyed Peas - The End(remember, I said not TOTAL slaps in the face)
2. AC/DC - Black Ice(It came out in 2008, but it was still less than a year ago, and by far the best release recently)
Thats all I can really think of actually.
I gotta tell you though, I really feel like I should have been 21 in 1970 rather than 2009. I love the music of the 60s and 70s, and I feel like the rock bands of that time were really rock bands, not just commercial and corporate cash pinatas. I understand that even in the 70s image was an issue, but the artist still maintained creative control, at least more than they do now. As an artist trying to make a living in the music business, I find it demoralizing to know that I'll probably have to put on a costume when I perform.
Politics:
You won't here me talk about politics, except when someone elses politics are shoved down my throat.
I would like to take a moment for some shameless self promotion.
